Broadlink RM3 Pro and rolling code commands

Open lapo76 opened this issue 6 years ago • 6 comments

I have a RM3 Pro and I would command my motorised blinds with rolling code control. I read about it in an other issue but I don't understand well. I'm not a skilled. @lprhodes can you help me to understand where loading your script, please?

I’ll let someone else chime in too but rolling codes are generally secured as far as I’ve seen. I don’t have that many RF devices though.

I k now that this topic is too old but I have managed this.....

  1. Get HOMEBRIDGE
  2. plugin Homebridge Broadlink Rm v3.5.5
  3. memorize ONE rolling code
  4. put on the code of your BROADLINK

I have my broadlink PRO on the first floor and when I send the code, it gets to the gate. This is a property of many other users.

One of disadvantages of this is after you open the first time, it wont open again. You cant open how may times you wish. I think this can be because of rolling code protection. The code can't be the same, two times in a row. So..... you have to wait other person opens the door, and then you can send the code again.

I dont try it yet, but if you memorize TWO codes and put on the homebridge code, probably it can open the garage. Send one code...wait 0.5s and then send the other one. If doesnt open with the first, will open with the second....I guess.

Any updates on rolling code support? I have a rollerhouse blind motor that works occasionally with the RM4Pro. I'm presuming it's some kind of rolling code issue.
