What would they use these files for?
We do publish to one of those, is that sufficient? How would we ensure the package is the same on GitHub as in the repositories?
It's published to Open VSX. Having it in the README is a great idea!

Neither of those approaches are what we want. Does the cache not have enough information to build the module interface JSON from? What's missing?
Why does it need to be built from typed AST? What information do they hold that the interface JSON needs that the cache does not have?
The cache has all the type information for a compiled module, so you can use that.
I think we can say this is a bug in the compiler as it doesn't conform to what the docs say. The formatter fixing it here is the saving grace...
Thank you! I'm not sure what the right thing to recommend is here. I am surprised that they are not producing packages for the latest version of the operating system.
