As seen on google jamboard: laser pointer, which is a constant laser dot (cursor) which draws an automagically fading freehand line. Probably the dot shall not be remembered but the actions with the fading drawing tool are.

I reused a substantial part of WBO code source to write an editable beamer slideshow tool for live online lectures. I notably incorporated a laser pointer tool similar to what you describe here. I'd be glad that you report here or on the Gitlab page of my project if you find it useful!
