Some tags disappear when addon is enabled
Hi I am having an issue with the Blitzkrieg Beta 8. Some of my tags just randomly disappear. When I disable this addon and enable Hierarchical tags, they come back. I have attached some screenshots below to show you what I mean. I am using Anki 2.1.25. It was working when I was using Anki 2.1.22. Please let me know what I can do to solve this.
With Hierarchical Tags enabled
With Blitzkrieg Beta 8 enabled
Here are all my addons
Thanks, looks like the changes made to search in 2.1.24 that does not allow * tobe added after ".
Ok is this something I can fix on my end or would I need to wait for an update?
I don't know how comfortable you are with python. It's as simple as extracting a tooth without a dentist, door + string. Or you could end up making a bloody mess of things.
To be completely honest, I have never used it before haha. If it really is something that can mess things up I can wait for an update. Do you have a timeline when it will be available?
No idea. The purpose of adopting a 6 month development cycle was not to have to deal with the constant changes. I'll see if anyone wants to make a PR.
I've looked at this problem (from a non-developer point of view as well, unfortunately) and it also appears to be an issue with using parentheses in tags. If I edit in or out parentheses, the tags' visibility in the browser changes. Just wanted to add this to the conversation in case it wasn't known and is helpful. It also seems to be an issue if there are parentheses anywhere in the entire tag, not just the last characters like in the images below. Something about parentheses causes Blitzkrieg to put the tag in quotes and, like @lovac42 said, "* in the search bar seems to cause problems.

Wow that's odd. It used to work in previous Anki versions. I wonder if it's something that's possible to fix in the files using the notepad in windows to open and edit the add-on files

Hey man any update on a fix for this?

Good news, Damien has expressed interests in adding these features into anki in future versions. So I may be able to get out of maintaining this.
Sounds good man. Works perfectly now. Thanks for the fix!

That's awesome! Did he post this somewhere?
