🐞 Issue: Platform Instability Triggered Paywall Lock on Paid Account Summary: Despite being on a paid account, I was locked out after system-generated errors, undocumented resets, and platform-side regressions consumed credits unfairly. I’m filing this issue to document every failure Lovable introduced that caused us to spend time fixing your system — time we were then billed for.
📆 Timeframe of Impact: June 12–June 19, 2025
⚠️ System-Generated Issues That Caused Credit Drain:
- QA-005 Routing Hijack (Player Hub Overlay Bug) Issue: All prompt returns were force-routed to an unexplained overlay (/player-hub), breaking UX and workflow.
Effect: Repeated prompts had to be reissued; each one cost credits.
Fixed by: Manually disabling the overlay trigger and instructing Lovable to remove the hijack.
- UI Skin Instability (Gamified/Professional Toggle Breakage) Issue: Skin state was lost between sessions; fallback system failed silently.
Effect: Cards and dashboards disappeared mid-session; I had to rebuild views manually.
Fixed by: Manually rewriting the wall view and routing logic.
- Wall/Home Feed Deletion (Dashboard Route Reset) Issue: The production-level dashboard /dashboard was overwritten or cleared in Lovable's internal build.
Effect: We lost a functioning landing page and had to reconstruct the Wall using modular cards.
Fixed by: Rebuilding Fitness, Wallet, Activity Feed, Mic Mode, and Quick Actions manually.
- Overlay Prompt Traps (Persistent Context Bleed) Issue: System would misinterpret context and loop into prompt chains that drained tokens.
Effect: I had to reset session state multiple times and reissue clean prompts to proceed.
- Unannounced Component Overwrites Issue: Previously working components (like Consent status and Wall logic) were silently overwritten during server-side syncs.
Effect: Rewrites were required with no notification — resulting in wasted tokens and dev time.
- SQL Rewrites Due to Missing Safeguards Issue: Admin audit logging logic had to be implemented from scratch.
Effect: I had to create custom SQL migrations and role-based policies — work that should have been scaffolded by the platform.
- False Success Logging Issue: Admin panels reported success even when underlying queries returned null or errored silently.
Effect: Repeated cycles of “fixing what wasn’t actually fixed” consumed credits unnecessarily.
🧠 Outcome of These Failures: 🔁 Multiple modules had to be rewritten (Wall, Tryouts, Sponsor Panel, Guardian View)
🧠 I provided real architecture testing as a release manager — time given freely
🧾 Credits were deducted due to Lovable’s errors, not mine
🔒 Platform locked me out mid-phase, despite no misuse
🟨 Request: Immediately restore all lost credits and revise your governance model to avoid charging users for system-caused errors, rebuilds, or retriggered prompt chains caused by internal instability.
I remain willing to collaborate, but the current model penalizes users for doing your QA, and that's neither fair nor ethical.
