Feature request: Auto sort on folder play
Describe Currently when you double-click on a folder, Cog plays (or appends) new tracks in the order that the files are sorted on Finder. For albums that have multiple discs, the default Finder order (likely, alphabetical order) will likely not be the intended order of playing.
To cirumvent this, you have to either re-sort the scene to get the correct order or the order you want; or to straight up re-sort your Finder folder.
Expected behavior On folder double-click, tracks are automatically sorted in a specific way. The intended order is usually sorting by track number (Nº) ascending.

Currently, when you double-click a folder, the order goes:
This is because in Finder, the order is:
Judging from the track numbers, this listening order is wrong.
I could certainly rename all tracks in Finder, but this is a huge hassle. What if on folder double-click, you automatically get this?
Version information:*
- macOS version: Sonoma 14.7
- Cog version: 2869 (2869-g58cbda594)
Additional context N/A
Cog cannot sort by track number on open unless the track number is in the filename. Tags are not loaded before the tracks are added to the playlist.
Probably gonna leave this as EWONTFIX until I decide to also implement multiple playlists, as it would require the ability to load a playlist of files into a queue other than the visible playlist, then sort them by their tags before adding them to a playlist.
Many thanks for the updates. I have actually worked-around the issue by just reorganising the filenames in my music library so that it works with albums containing multiple discs. Works perfectly now.
Feel free to close this issue or mark it as dormant until you want to implement multiple playlists. Keep up the good work!
