Switch to the more modern 'display: flex' model?
Is there any chance you might switch to the more modern display: flex model of flex layouts?
The reason I'm saying this is that I have some display issues (maybe it's because I'm using bootstrap, but I'm not sure) and I can only debug display: flex since that's the only one I know. But as far as I know the other ways of using flex layouts are outdated, aren't they?
Hi,
well if you use these css rules I don't really see why you would like to use flexy layout module ? This might be in conflict with the width and heigh the module calculate through Javascript, although it would really simplifiy the calculation of the block length, I'll try to have a look. Maybe you could provide some code so I could have a look at the display issues you have.
Ok, I'll put something up in the next following dates for you to see my display bug.
As for display: flex, I want to use something like the flexy layout module, because I'd like to drag the middle element (the orange bar) to resize the other two... I don't think this can be done without some serious JS.
I'm wondering if something like http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18732240/does-angular-have-a-flex-layout-like-extjs could be added to the flexy-layout. One thing I haven't figured out yet is how to make the resize happen in the right order. For the flex layout to work efficiently you have to resize from the outside inward and I haven't seen a way to control the order directives get called. Am I worrying about nothing of any consequence?
One of the nice things about the flex model in that question is that you can specify things in a percentage like fashion, but you don't have to make sure the percentages add up, makes it much easier to just add a "little" bit more to this box or that box.
Once you use a slider, I'm not sure how you deal with the flex attribute though. Do you recompute it to reflect the users choice?
Very nice package, almost exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.
