Smoothing transition during pagination with pipe/ajax?

Looking at the pipe/ajax plugin example on the documentation page: http://lorenzofox3.github.io/smart-table-website/ It would be awesome if paging would transition more like Github's issues transition: dark overlay on the table with a loading spinner, replace the underlying content, scroll to the top, and remove the overlay.

It's pretty jarring for the paging buttons to jump up and down during a paging event.
