Less than character handling with OTR

Open hferee opened this issue 9 years ago • 1 comments

When I send some special characters from a pidgin client to a loqui client (both using OTR), some unexpected behaviour happen:

When sending a message containing "<", loqui does not decipher it.

Less problematic: some characters like double quotes are replaced by the word "quotes" or by their html encoding. I don't know if it is an issue due to pidgin or loqui, but the thing is it does not happen between two pidgin clients or two loqui clients. Does loqui translate such characters in a non standard way (and expect to receive them this way)?
