I guess it's best to ask for a new release of coin. There is no coin4.0.1 available from conda-forge.

Which swig version are you using? I can remember having a similar problem long ago, but I can't remember the solution.
nice to see this is still working. Not sure about the issue with cmake. I am testing this with conda and do not see such issues.

I am not quite sure what you want. Pivy is generated with swig. So maybe you should look into swig-docs to see if there is such a feature.
the pip packages are not updated. we use conda, and other system package-manager. There is the possibility to create wheels from conda-packages, but I am not sure this is the...
