Can not test project

Hi, thanks a lot for your fantastic work. please forgive me for my lack of knowledge.. I'm trying to use this project after quick read of the paper, but I do not know where to begin with.. I tried the python version but it seems (and correct me if I am wrong) not completed. So I tried the Matlab version, some functions can not be found but the problem still there, I do not know where to begin.. Can you please explain (in an easy way if it's possible) how to test this project? I mean how to run files according to the pipeline? (matlab is fine but python will be great) thanks again.
