Not works on Android Jellybean

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install the demo app
2. Tap the button to start listening
3. Just this

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Nothing happens, whistle counter does not increment.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Android 4.4.2 Nexus 5
Android 4.4.2 Nexus 7

Please provide any additional information below.
The same version works on a Android 2.3.7 Samsung Galaxy Ace.
