Add the ability of moving the file to a directory once it is done processing.
This can support BatchProcessing. Doing so we can move the log files to any directory e.g archive to keep a record of the logfiles which have been successfully indexed by logstash.
This is a feature that we want to implement. Thanks for creating this (tracking) issue, so I don't have to 😄 . It is not difficult to do but a new setting needs adding and I did not want to overwhelm the 4.1.X release with too many new features.
@guyboertje I would love this new feature ! In production, it could be annoying to delete files. Sometimes, you want to keep track of processed files, sometimes you want to reprocess these files (due to indexing problem for example), sometimes you need to work with these files aside Elastic Stack.
plz add option to move with compression
Is this still considered in 2022? I would love this feature. 🙏
