Copilot + Primary theme = Obsidian crash
Hello Logan,
I am currently evaluating long-term paid AI solutions for Obsidian to enhance my workflow. My comparison is primarily focused on Smart Connections and Copilot for Obsidian, but I am struggling to objectively assess them due to frequent crashes and freezes in both plugins.
Specifically with Copilot, I am experiencing a complete crash of Obsidian when using it alongside the Primary theme (with all community plugins disabled). If I switch to a different theme or disable Copilot, the crashes do not occur.
I have been using the Primary theme for over a year, and it is highly customized to my preferences. I really enjoy it, and I am concerned that I might have to abandon it just to use Copilot. Is there any way to resolve this compatibility issue?
Here is the information required for the report:
- [x] Disable all other plugins besides Copilot (required)
- [X] Screenshot of note + Copilot chat pane + dev console added (required)
Copilot version: v2.8.8
Describe how to reproduce:
- Disable all community plugins except Copilot.
- Enable the Primary theme in Obsidian.
- Scroll a note or switch between tabs as usual.
- Observe that Obsidian crashes shortly after.
Expected behavior: I expected Copilot to work seamlessly alongside the Primary theme without causing Obsidian to crash.

Additional context: This issue is preventing me from fully utilizing Copilot, which is otherwise a very promising tool. I would appreciate any guidance or fixes that could help resolve this conflict.
Thank you for your time and consideration!
Best regards,
Kirill
