Support for Shell Extensions - Suggestions Needed From Community

Description: Espanso on desktop supports shell extensions. I was wondering if something similar could be implemented here.

Question: I’m not sure how this would work. Would it be possible to support shell extensions in some form, or is there an alternative approach that could achieve similar functionality?

This would be for a very limited set of commands. For example, limited to lua. I was wondering whether I should add some Lua support, which would solve #7 as well. We will see. Shell specifically should not be possible unless I can find a third party library that emulates shell commands.
