Questions outstanding
To focal point or not to focal point Does the freeform crop type for image widget crop give us enough to support document covers ?
Following much discussion and discovery and a session at DrupalCamp Scotland @msayoung and I concluded that more architecture and UX work is need to implement contextual alt text so we will not action those changes yet and instead provide documentation and examples on the pros and cons of approaches. We will also try to make progress with upstream changes in core and contrib to make contextual alt text work intuitively. I have updated the tasks in the description to reflect this.
