License?

Hi - I'm sure everyone assumes this is open source, but I don't see a license file or any reference to a license. If no open source license is explicitly granted by the author, the project isn't open source and no one has any clear rights to redistribute it. @loboris I know you haven't worked on this for awhile but you are the only person who could address this issue. I'd be grateful if you could add a license file.
