Due to the recent changes in Chrome I’ve decided to stop maintaining Panel Tabs. I’ve written a more thorough blog post with details, please check it out here. Thanks for the support along the way!

As a user that uses this every single day, I hate to hear this. Thank you so much for your effort in trying to extend it's life by building alternative solutions. It's a shame that it didn't work out.

For those, like me, which had been devastated from the recent decision to remove panels from Chrome, here is the big news I just discovered:

  • I read about Vivaldi browser, claiming to support Chrome extensions, and downloaded it
  • I wrote chrome://flags on Vivaldi, and it redirected to vivaldi://flags

Guess what? PANELS OPTION IS THERE!

As far as I know, Vivaldi has just been released and it's on its first public versions (currently 1.4. you can check it out at https://vivaldi.com) hence it should support our beloved panels for long time.

@lnikkila always loved your work. Perhaps, this could turn Panels Tabs "maintained" again? ;)

PS: I'm sorry for my English, obvs not my primary language, but I really wanted to share what I've found since I have been struggling to find a way to keep using panels. Like many others, I used it every day for work.

Hope that helps guys!
