@nolim1t please review and approve this PR so we can use 0.29!

@AaronDewes can you help?

@Goro2030 fwiw, I tired of waiting and created a fork of the repo with docker images for bitcoin core v29.0 28.2 and more

https://github.com/lnliz/docker-bitcoind https://hub.docker.com/r/lnliz/bitcoind/tags

And I will maintain my repo going forward

@nolim1t &|OR @AaronDewes, why not reviewing these PRs? CI is passing and the PR size is not so big. This repo has close to 2M Docker pulls. Let's keep it going!

FYI, I am maintaining up-to-date docker images over at https://github.com/willcl-ark/bitcoin-core-docker which could be an alternative for you, if things don't get updated here as fast as you'd like.

We have all current versions (and RCs) which on debian base use the guix-built release binaries (as hosted on bitcoincore.org) and on Alpine base try to keep as close as possible to release configuration.

There are also automated nightly/master builds available.

These are not official Bitcoin Core images, but are hosted on dockerhub at the official-looking URL of https://hub.docker.com/r/bitcoin/bitcoin

Perhaps they might be of use to you? :)

I'm maintaining the drop-in replacement docker images at https://github.com/lnliz/docker-bitcoind with all the latest versions (plus knots and inquisition images)
