Ashlands rubberbanding

Is there anything I can do to improve ashlands performance? I'm running the server as close as possible to my location, with 2 cpus and 8GB of ram

I've found that if I run the BetterNetworking mod on the server and every player also runs the mod that lag and desync are vastly reduced.
