Same Card Repeating Across Two Levels

Open AliHassan245 opened this issue 10 months ago • 6 comments

  • Issue: In the FoodChain Game, the same card appears in two separate levels, creating unnecessary redundancy.

  • Impact: This repetition leads to players already knowing the answer, reducing the challenge and excitement of progressing through the game.

@llaske Sir, should I go ahead and post the PR for the issue.

Doesn't happen so frequently. Not a problem.

  • @llaske Sir, what I am trying to convey is that while Level 2 might not show frequent repeats, in Level 3 approximately 7 to 8 out of 15 cards are duplicates, that’s almost one in every two cards.

  • Moreover, Levels 1, 2, and 3 display 5, 10, and 15 cards respectively, which adds up to 30 cards, and Levels 4 through 6 also display another set of 30 cards.

  • Since we have 30 unique cards available, we can allocate them for Levels 1 to 3 without repeating, and then again for Levels 4 to 6 without repeating.

  • By using this strategy, we can effectively eliminate redundancy and ensure a consistently fresh experience for players throughout the game.

@llaske Sir, more interestingly, one of my college friends whom I asked to play this game noticed the bug at first sight. Honestly, other players will notice it too. Fortunately we have enough unique cards available to display across each level so I think we should definetly resolve the issue.

  • @llaske Sir, please review my extended clarification on the issue.

  • Sir, additionally, one more thing, I would also like to update the UI to use a semicolon instead of a comma between minutes and seconds

Okay let's suggest a solution to avoid repeated cards. No need to change the timer.

@llaske, could you please share any update or feedback regarding my pull request for this issue?

I've reviewed the issue, I thought that cards could be repeated at same level, it's not. I'm not shocked by repeated card at different levels. Education and learning it's also repeating things.
