Failed to install CIA.

Hello. I let a download go for a while and when I came back CIAngel simply told me "Failed to install CIA." Can I download it (without using Python because it is completely broken on my computer) some other way or can I fix this problem? Thanks!

You could try https://github.com/llakssz/FunKeyCIA (you would need to fix python), ticket only mode then eshop download, or https://github.com/HouseBreaker/Shameless and eshop download.

Do you have CFW? How are you running ciangel?

You can press L to toggle from Install Mode to Download Mode (Listed on the bottom of the screen). This will cause CIAngel to create a CIA that you can then install using FBI.

FBI may give a better error on the install than CIAngel does.

I do believe that you have to inject CIAngel to H&S (just like the way FBI is installed) in order for it to run

Not even remotely true, CIAngel runs as either an installed CIA, or when I get around to finishing up the next release, a 3dsx via Luma 8.0+, but has never needed to be injected into H&S

Well I just did it like that somehow, tried installing through FBI,=>try downloading => error, try inject CIAngel to H&S through godmode9 => try downloading => succeed

The guy issue the prob is not a coder but a user so I guess it better leave my tweak to him instead of a bunch of explanation (I dunno either, haven't read the code yet :p)

Also mine is O3DS, might it be different because of that :p

I do all my development and testing on an O3DS. If you're running the CIA, there should be no issues with installing. If you're running the 3dsx, I recommend not using it until we actually release one compatible with Luma 8+, as the old one was designed for firmware 9.2
