Disappearing Sender (@) column
Hi,
I'm running Thunderbird 68.10.0 on Linux Mint 20.1 Cinnamon with these addons:
- Allow HTML Temo
- DKIM Verifier
- Enigmail
- Lightning
- Paranoia
- Rise of the Tools
- Signature Switch
- Send later
- and obviously Full Address column v.1.0.2
The Sender (@) column keeps disappearing occasionally, not after each TB shutdown/launch. I'm using local folders for my e-mail accounts. I have not yet identified a way how to consistently reproduce this behavior.
Is there anything else that I could do/check for other than to observe more carefully and notice some potential correlation?
Thanks.
When you notice the column disappears, check console (CTRL-SHIFT-J) for any unusual messages and compare them with those you get during normal Thunderbird startup.
I do witness same issue. From time to time "sender (@)" column dissapears (not entirely) from random account at thunderbird startup.
f.ex: account 1 - OK account 2 - no "sender (@)" in INBOX account 3 - OK
I need to re-add with mouse.
few thunderbird startups later: account 1 - OK account 2 - OK account 3 - no "sender (@)" in INBOX
I have similar problems: Sender@ and Recipient@ columns disappear when Thunderbird is closed. But only in virtual folders. They combine the mails of 10 accounts and several archive-folders. All folders are online(imap). Thunderbird 102.7.1 is a fresh and clean install on a fresh installed Linux Mint 20.1 Cinnamon.
I cannot compare different startups, because every startup has lost the columns in the virtual folders.
You mean saved search folders? I can't reproduce the behavior on TB 102.7.2 on Debian 11, Windows 7 or Windows 10. Please provide step-by-step description how you do it.
After adding Sender@ and Recipient@ to all folders, the saved search folders _Trash and _Junk (10 folders each) are ok. _Inbox (85 folders) is more stable than before but the columns disappear sometimes. My idea is the issue is depending on the number of searched folders or on the column order of the searched folders.
Not really sure what I can do about this bug.
