Option to temporarily disable the connection to the server (On / Off)

It would be great if there was an easy option to enable / disable synchronization (connection) with the server. For example, in a similar way as you can turn on and off automatic code formatting, or Prettier. I don't always want to sync my code in real time. For example, when switching branches on .git. So the option to temporarily disable sync would be extremely useful.
