"Upload changed files" doesn't work

Describe the bug After changing a file and clicking on "Upload changed files" nothing happens.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Change a file
- Go to Git Panel
- Under the "..." menu on the top select "Upload changed files"
Expected behavior The file(s) to be uploaded to the server

Open User Settings.
- On Windows/Linux - File > Preferences > Settings
- On macOS - Code > Preferences > Settings

Set
sftp.debugtotrueand reload vscode. -
Reproduce the problem, get the logs from View > Output > sftp. sftp_logs.txt
Note: I noticed that it worked a few times after I restarted VSCode to activate logs. I opened the remote file to check if the changes were really there but then when I changed a few files and I tried to upload them by using "Upload changed files " it didn't work anymore.
Hey man. I had the same the problem, and I fixed that.
Upload Changed Files button doen't work if you open a link folder, or a subfolder.
So open the git root folder in vscode, and everything will work.
It worked before, now I have the same problem since updating to VSCode 1.51.1
Outplog log just says [11-18 23:43:30] [trace] run command 'Upload Changed Files' but nothing happens.
Upload active file still works.
Confirming the issue with version 1.51.1, selecting "Upload Changed Files" simply does nothing. Really need this feature, it saves so much time.
