Follow Symlinks on Remote Directory
Expected/Desired Behavior
Is there a way for symlinks on the remote to be followed?
Actual Behavior
Symlinks on the remote file system are ignored
Steps to Reproduce the Problem
- Create a symlinked directory in the remote directory to somewhere outside of the "remotePath" directory
-
SFTP: Download
- Observe the local directory does not follow the symlink (does not show the directory or contents)
Specifications
- Version: 1.0.5
- Platform: Mac OSX El Capitan 10.11.6
Also experiencing this issue
SFTP: List can't list the symbol link on the remote server.
Often, the data and GitHub dir is on the other place as a soft link in home dir.
It would be better to list soft link on SFTP: List.
This feature is a requirement for the team to use this extension!

Can we get a maintainer here to check out? This is a crucial feature for many people, and at least needs addressing, since this thread has been open for over 2 years.
