Closing Picture in Picture on Background dismisses video view on the app

Describe the bug When PiP is activated by moving the app to the background, the video view of the participant in PiP is dismissed when the PiP is closed in the background.

SDK Version LiveKit 2.0.16

iOS/macOS Version iOS 18

Xcode Version The Xcode version which the issue occurs. Xcode 16.0 Swift version (result of xcrun swift -version) swift-driver version: 1.115 Apple Swift version 6.0 (swiftlang-6.0.0.9.10 clang-1600.0.26.2) Target: arm64-apple-macosx14.0

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Run minimal-pip example app
  2. Join the call and activate camera for remote participant
  3. Leave the app to activate PiP
  4. Close the PiP by pressing x on PiP view
  5. Goes back to the app.
  6. You can see blank screen, and when you goes into PiP again, PiP view is also blank.

Expected behavior Video view keeps displaying.

Logs Please provide logs if you can.

It doesn't seem to provide any logs when I close PiP
