Unable to zoom horizontally with trackpad

I see that the keyboard shortcut is supposed to be Alt+Mousewheel. I am able to zoom vertically with Ctrl+Trackpad, which makes me think that the horizontal shortcut should work as well, but it doesn't. It's quite difficult to use the plugin without being able to zoom horizontally.

System info:

OS: Windows (11) DAW: Reaper (6.68)
