That's definitely not out of scope for lite-xl.

The main different between rxi/lite is that I am okay to sacrifice some simplicity to have some useful features and word wrapping is definitely useful.

The only caveat is that I cannot promise to implement this right away now because I really have limited time for lite-xl at the moment but I will keep it in my to-do list and try to implement this at some point.

Word wrap is already supported in the 2.1 pre-release. You can enable it by pressing F10. So I guess this issue could be closed.

Horizontal scrolling is soon going to be merged (#1124). Do note that that PR implements "fake" unlimited horizontal scrolling; a real implementation that displays an actual horizontal scrollbar will come in the future.
