LiquidBounce still has effective x-ray tool
My friend can still use the x-ray tool on the LiquidBounce hacked client. Is this an error on my part? I have the latest version downloaded from the releases page.
Have you been able to confirm the extend of x-ray?
Properly configured Orebfuscator literally doesn't send the ore data to the client, so there's nothing to x-ray.
It's on the default settings, Sorry if I'm just being an idiot, is there something I should change?
IIRC default config doesn't include all the blocks you'd normally want orebfuscated. Read through the wiki on how to customize your configuration, and tweak it to hide the things you care about.
Also, from my experience, people seem to misunderstand what exactly orebfuscator does. I have friends who I've used to test it and they say the same thing. "My xray client still works". But they're actually seeing the obfuscated blocks, not the actual ores, and just assume that if they mine, they'll get the ore they see when they get there. Orebfuscator doesn't cause xray clients to not function, it sends them false data. So they will still see ores, but the ores aren't really there.
That might be my next project. X-ray detector; Just seeds the world with fake chests and ores using your Proximity Hider settings as baseline, to catch people still using X-ray :)
Haha, that would be great, especially with a proper API some of the more popular Anti-Cheats could hook into and then execute punishments for Xray-ing automatically. Would really bring the anti-cheat on my server together.
That's a great point on the API -- critical point indeed. The hardest part of this plugin though would be faking the ores and chests convincingly. But, I have some ideas :)
