Open Byh0ki opened this issue 1 year ago • 8 comments

Is this a new feature request?

Wanted change

Hello,

ddclient is released very rarely, as stated by @nemchik here, would it be possible to get the pre-relase versions too?

(cf. https://github.com/linuxserver/docker-ddclient/issues/45 but I can't comment on it as it's locked)

Reason for change

It would be nice to have the latest features but also to test issues on recent code.

Proposed code change

Just a small note here, our default pre-release detection would currently pick up https://github.com/ddclient/ddclient/releases/tag/v4.0.0-rc.3 as the latest pre-release, so if we made a tag like prerelease it would actually be behind the current latest release found at https://github.com/ddclient/ddclient/releases/tag/v4.0.0

Indeed but before the release of 4.0.0, we had a few months (maybe even years) with fixed issue on upstream/master but no release available with the changes so it was quite problematic. I'm not sure if pre-release is enough in this case, maybe a nightly build would be better
