FR Server flavour of hw-probe

I wanted to run hw-probe on my NAS, but it's a headless machine so there's no X11 or anything like that installed. When I wanted to install it the list of dependancies was endless because of all the missing X stuff.

Is it possible to get a server/headless/X-less version of hw-probe for servers?

This may not be of much help, but take a look at this probe: it's my FreedomBox, obviously with no screen at all. As the probe shows, the display server is TTY and there's no X installed.

The box is running Debian, hw-probe was installed from the repositories after SSH'ing to the box without any complaint about missing dependencies. So maybe it's a problem with your distribution's packaging? If that's the case, filing a bug there might make sense.
