sudoers role

Open benformosa opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Hi, Is there any plan to add a role to manage the sudoers file? I'm currently using https://github.com/ahuffman/ansible-sudoers, which works great, but is not distributed as a collection.

I can see that roles outside of the linux-system-roles GH org can be included, e.g. sshd.

Thanks, Ben

We don't have any plans currently

Hi @benformosa Does the https://github.com/ahuffman/ansible-sudoers role you mentioned meet all of your requirements, or is there some functionality missing from it that would be useful in your environment?

Do you use FreeIPA or Red Hat Identity Management in your environment? Asking because it has the capability to centrally manage the sudo configuration in the environment.

Hi @briansmith0, Yes, that role does everything I need it to.

No, I don't use FreeIP/Red Hat IDM. I was vaugely aware of that functionality. It's something I have considered for other reasons though.
