Add dragging as link functionality

Open SoCuul opened this issue 1 year ago • 6 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. When I try to drag a bookmark to the url bar, nothing happens.

Describe the solution you'd like I would like to be able to drag my bookmarks to my url bar to open them in the background as I do it frequently within my workflow already.

Additional context The native tag provides this functionality already, so maybe you could wrap the bookmark element in a link tag?

You can already do that by dragging the link itself: Screenshot 2024-10-08 at 4 58 06 AM

I meant more so the entire link card. Having to drag the link itself is fairly unintuitive.

Being able to drag the card over a collection to move it for example, or to the address bar to act as a normal anchor tag

But then what if we wanted to open the link collection in a new tab instead? AFAIK we can't nest anchor tags so we need to place everything inside a single block.

In that case maybe you could make the title a link as well as the link text. I assumed it would be already, considering it's blue.

There are plans to add drag and drop sometime in the future, we'll make sure to turn it into an anchor tag if it didn't have any conflicts with that but right now it's not really a priority.
