What is the issue?

The linkerd-crds Helm chart version edge-1.1.1 was unintentionally republished during the edge-22.7.1 release to include changes from that release, namely the addition of the HttpRoute CRD and the installGatewayApi Helm value. The linkerd-crds Helm chart version edge-1.1.1 is used by Linkerd versions edge-22.4.1 through edge-22.7.1. Because this change is additive, we don't anticipate any problems arising from a Linkerd edge version in the affected range picking up this updated linkerd-crds Helm chart. However, it does violate our semver semantics.

To fully remedy, we should:

• [ ] Republish the linkerd-crds Helm chart version edge-1.1.1, removing the unintended changes
• [ ] Ensure that the linkerd-crds Helm chart version is properly updated in the next edge release
• [ ] Put automation or tooling in place to help prevent this from happening in the future
