Enable cruise-control on ppc64le arch via CI/CD
Hey!
Thanks for the awesome readme/tutorials on cruise-control. I could build cruise-control from source & run all of the tests outlined in CircleCI for cruise-control, I was wondering what it would take to have the cruise-control running on ppc64le. FWIW we have ppc64le instances in Travis.
^^^ @efeg Tagging you here, as I see you are one of active contributors to this repository.
I would like to add support for ppc64le via Travis-CI, as Circle-CI currently do not work - so any changes/ enhancements - do not break on ppc64le. Would like to hear back about the same.
@krishvoor Thanks for submitting the issue, and your interest in contributing! We would be happy to see this support, but we do not want to move to Travis -- though Github Actions would be acceptable.
@efeg - Thanks for your response. Apparentely Github Actions is being worked upon, IOW, currently it isn't supported on ppc64le architecture. Can we consider to target Travis-CI only for ppc64le architecture and continue to support work with Circle-CI for the x86_64 ?
@efeg - I'm back again, just wanted to nudge and hear back from you about your views of having Travis-CI for ppc64le only? I am happy to jump onto one of (the community) calls and answer any of your questions pertaining to ppc64le.
@krishvoor thanks for your interest in contribution, but we would like to avoid adding a Travis dependency to the project.
@efeg please accept my apologies for the late reply, would it be a possibility to consider a Jenkins Client/Server for ppc64le only, as an alternative to Travis in this situation?
