releasing to maven central
Any plans to release the packages to maven central in addition to jfrog ? This makes consumption easier in restricted environments.
publishing to central (via OSSRH) is just too much of a PITA to bother with. do you have a concrete "restricted environment" that cant reach jfrog?
as jfrog.io has subdomains, they need to be whitelisted as such and currently its something that needs to be managed at reverse proxy level in some orgs, with their own caching infra. which is difficult to push for. when there is one package that needs to be downloaded.
https://www.devdungeon.com/content/publish-java-packages-maven-central-repository tells that there is one time process work, can we give it a try ?
did some further research. we could try using https://github.com/gradle-nexus/publish-plugin there are also internal instructions for PGP key management as used by https://github.com/linkedin/LiTr/blob/main/RELEASING.md (note the project itself uses manual versioning and deployment)
any update on this ?
