đ Footer inconsistencies â X (Twitter) branding and Y Combinator text
đ Footer inconsistencies â X (Twitter) branding and Y Combinator text
Description
- The footer currently shows âTwitterâ next to the X logo, which is inconsistent with the platformâs official rebrand to X.
- The text âBacked by Y Combinatorâ appears as plain, non-clickable text with no hover or link attached.
Since it represents a partnership or support acknowledgment, it would improve UX and credibility to make it a clickable link to Y Combinatorâs official site or the projectâs YC page.
Steps to Reproduce
- Scroll to the website footer.
- Observe the Twitter/X text and logo.
- Hover over the âBacked by Y Combinatorâ text â it remains static (no hover or link).
Expected Behavior
- The footer should show âXâ or âX (formerly Twitter)â for accurate branding.
- The Y Combinator text should be clickable and direct users to the appropriate page.
Actual Behavior
- Displays âTwitterâ instead of âX.â
- âBacked by Y Combinatorâ is plain text with no link or hover effect.
Suggested Fix
- Update the branding to reflect X (formerly Twitter).
- Wrap âBacked by Y Combinatorâ in a link tag pointing to:
đ https://www.ycombinator.com
(or the startupâs YC page, if applicable).
Why This Matters
Improves branding accuracy, footer UX, and ensures consistency with modern platform and partner references.

Good catch @Rudra2637
Since our website isn't open source, I can't assign this to you directly.
However, one of our team mates David handles our website and I'm tagging him (@davidturnbull) so that this does go through.
Just FYI, if you had opened this for the competition, it still counts even though you can't contribute to it.
can i work on this issue?
Thank you @sumitsaurabh927 for the clarification and for forwarding this to David. I appreciate you acknowledging the issue and confirming that it still counts toward the competition. Glad to contribute! đ

Guys, just a request, before commenting "Please assign it to me". Kindly read the message given by @sumitsaurabh927 sir stating that the website isn't open sourced, so someone from the internal team will work on this! Thanks!
Thanks for reporting! This will be handled by the Lingo.dev core team in our separate website repo. We'll close this once it's resolved there.
