Thanks - was not yet aware of pkpasses. But seems this is official - so I will try to support it.
Thanks & sorry for the late review. Tested it on a recent (API 34) and an older device (API 31) and it also works. Need to make some more tests...

tbh. this does not really make sense to me - is there such an animation in the apple wallet - maybe even inside the pass?
Thanks to @openfnord I was able to look in the pkpass - but there is no animation in there as far as I can see. So now wondering where this...
on master I target 33 now - alongside a lot of other modernisations - will upload a new version to beta soon - but it needs a lot of testing...
