I have a pretty powerful laptop and the latest Acorn [v9.9.0-alpha] uses 20% of my CPU and nearly 2GIG of RAM while sitting idle.. That is way too high! It starts off at 0.6% CPU and 1 gig of RAM gradually climbs.

PC Specs are as follows: Processors: 16 × 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-1240P Memory: 64 GiB of RAM Operating system: Debian 12

Ive seen the same on high powered computers. I believe that regardless of the whole Acorn program running, holochain running standalone would do the same so thats the underlying concern. I will check on holochain versions and see if theyve made fixes on that yet.

I have run Acorn again and this time it ran for many hours without issue. So it's quite intermittent. I will keep an eye out for an Acorn release with a newer version of Holochain to see if they have rectified the underlying problem.
