Unclear which channels will be looped into when using automatic channel selection

I don't quite understand the automatic channel selection option. After initiating a loop with automatic channel selection enabled I'm unsure which channels will be looped into. How/when does it decide? Can it be presented to users in some way? When you do manual channel selection there is a >> icon that appears next to the channels with pending loop in operations. Can something similar be done when using automatic channel selection?

When no restriction on the channels to use is placed, then the routing algorithm of lnd (called "mission control") will decide what channels to use when paying the swap invoice. That cannot really be influenced and I'm not sure if it can easily be shown while in progress. And even with manual channel selection, it's never guaranteed to use all the selected channels. Mission control will just restrict the channels to choose from, but if there is no route through one of the selected channels, it won't be used (if I'm not mistaken).
