Watch Page UI issues

Open 777Sev777 opened this issue 2 years ago • 7 comments

Hi, I've been experiencing a small but annoying bug on the watch page of YT, this seems to affect all the variations of YouTube layouts. some buttons are not placed in their correct positions, and the view count is overlapping with "suggested videos."

I've made sure that it works with all my extensions, when opening an incognito tab with all my extensions enabled it works perfectly fine with no issues (like it did before I started experiencing this issue). I'm running Microsoft Edge if that info is useful. I'd appreciate any help or advice to fix this, also the extension is fantastic. keep up the good work!

Looks like the same problem from #107, but I won't mark as a duplicate because I'm not 100% sure. I guess you might have an experiment I'm not aware of.

You can try this CSS. I don't know if it'll work though, since I can't reproduce this issue.

html[watch-metadata-style] #bt-views-info {
  position: relative !important;
}
html[watch-metadata-style] #bt-ltod {
  position: relative !important;
}

ah, you were right. it didn't fix it, made it a bit worse actually. no worries I'll try using a different browser, unless you have any other ideas.

Can you send a screenshot of what it did exactly? I want to try to understand exactly what's going on here and why this would happen.

yeah, this is a picture of what it does yt

Oh, I forgot to mention that that's what happens for me as well. Unfortunately I have no clue how to fix this (at least not yet), since like I said, I don't have the issue.

Just tried a possible solution. Wipe all your YouTube cookies, then reload the page. Works for me on Vivaldi (Chromium browser).

I just figured out the core issue, it was because my channel wasn't the first channel in the list. If I switch channels to the first one on the list, everything is normal. If I switch to any other channel, the issue appears.

The quotes above were from separate comments I posted, they're here for context and posterity.

I was wrong again actually. OTHER CHANNELS in my list didn't have the issue, but my main channel for some reason does. It's nothing to do with cookies or the css. It's possibly some setting related to accounts that changes the position of that portion.
