Swipe gesture conflict
When the home screen has the number of apps that causes scrolling to take place the swipe up gesture to open the app drawer becomes erratic.
At times, in this situation, swiping up even the slightest will open the app drawer. Other times it'll be very difficult to trigger the app drawer via gesture.
This causes the app to be unusable in cases where the user has a list of home screen apps that utilizes home screen scrolling. The app drawer opens when you just want to scroll your favorites.
Therefore the user needs to have less apps on the home screen so there is no home screen scrolling, thus making the app drawer triggering more consistent, however, due to the excessive padding between app names and no apps being hidden the app drawer is very slow to use, unnecessary scrolling. I'll address this last issue in an enhancement suggestion, IF this app is still being developed and the developers are open to suggestions.
I suggest
-
Changing swipe gesture to trigger app drawer to left right (horizontal) gesture. Therefore removing any possible conflict between scrolling favorites on the home screen and triggering the apps drawer.
-
Reduce space between app names in app drawer, reducing need to scroll and hide from app drawer all favorite apps = faster access to apps in drawer = more efficient.
Thanks! And please let me know if you all would like some input on feature/design suggestions. I've got some ideas that I think could be worked into this launcher while still keeping it simple, small, but making it very flexible & highly functional 😀
