the problem of Spatial regularization window_parameters?

why is the params.feature_downsample_ratio = [4, 14] in the run_DeepSTRCF.m? it is prior knowledge? thx advance.

Hi. the params '4' is used for the hand-crafted features since the cell size for HOGCN feature is set to 4 in most cases. As for the CNN feature, while the stride for conv3/conv5 layers is 16, we find that decreasing the parameter (equivalent to increase the size of target region) will benefit the performance.
