Maybe we tag this as a good first issue?
This issue has been happening since forever in the entire UI. Not even chess.com has this fixed, they just "hide" it by having the rounded corners be small.

A potential fix would be adding overflow: hidden; to cg-board but I do not know if this could cause other issues...

That should work, and it could be added for only the <cg-board>s with a border-radius (mini-boards).
