Broadcast: more obvious score/result graphic
In a finished broadcast round, the display of the score is quite small, in both the multiboard and singleboard view. Open to suggestions how to improve it in the singleboard view (without changing the entire design), but for the multiboard view, I'd suggest something like this:
(Reason for this issue: several complaints that the score would be hard to find and frequent question in broadcast chat: "who won")
Please don't cover the board 🙏
If people are asking in chat - maybe a game just finished message in the chat ( " Game 5: IM Pioter Sabuk v IM Olexiy Bilych 1-0 " ) or other changes that leaves the view of the board unobstructed.
We're talking about after the whole round is finished. So a small message in chat doesn't do anything, it's even less visible then the score as it is right now. (Out of interest:) what's the problem with covering the boards after the round was finished with the results? To review the game, I assume you click on it anyways? If we don't do that, do you maybe have any suggestions how we could make the score more visible? Because I understand your point, I'm just not creative enough to think of a better way than that😅

I would just make the name of the player who won the game bold to show that he has actually won so it is more obvious.

That's a good idea IMO. Both in Single-Board and Multi-Board view?🤔 In Multi-Board view it sounds like a good compromise to me, for Single-Board view idk how much this would make a difference.
As a player I also prefer the board unobstructed. I’m not sure we can have a fool-proof UI without degrading it for everybody else.
Maybe make the whole background of the row above/below the board a different color..?
Come to think of it, whenever any game is over, such as watching a single game on lichess TV, it's "hard" to see who won from the "0"/"1".
I don't see why covering the board is an issue, it makes it 1000x easier to know what games finished already and know the result of them. Seeing the board is still possible and you can obviously still click it to see the actual game.
This is what I have implemented locally (I also remove the unnecessary background that even boards have)
