Today's game counter near the lichess user (top-right corner)
As someone who is trying to restrict myself to certain number of games per day I really desperately need this feature, and would gladly pay for it (bounty or something) even though I am lichess patron since 2020...
I need today's date counter to appear in a clearly visible box close to my lichess user-name (top-right corner). The counter would reset at 00:00 at my time-zone.
I do understand this is not something many players want, so I would expect this feature to be an option that we can turn on/off in our user settings.
Counter would include any time-control (bullet, blitz, rapid, classic).
This sounds more like something that would be better achieved through a browser extension, than an actual lichess feature.
Yes, "why make an easy solution when we can do a more complicated one"? :)
On a serious note - yes, I suppose I would have to look at writing browser extension but that would be my last resort...
Because there isn't one easy solution. There are as many ways of controlling the rate of play, as there are people wanting it.
Just to remind you - I did not suggest controlling anything, just adding a counter that resets every day. Counter would not be shown until user wants it.
