Unable to start games; my account appears as offline but there aren’t connectivity issues

Open Arihol opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

I can’t play at all via the app. Puzzles are generated normally and I’m able to play via the website. My account isn’t marked or restricted. When I view my own profile (see screenshot) it appears as offline, which isn’t the case. 8AB01CC0-C095-435F-BC85-C1A189BA8416

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

  • Device: [iPhoneSEgen2]
  • OS: [15.6.1 - latest]
  • Browser [mobile app]
  • Version [latest version]

Additional context Started today. Didn’t happen previously.

Can confirm this is also happening to me on iOS. Has been happening for a few days. Games can be started from the app but they load forever after finding someone to play with. Will try to get stack trace later today.

Found the following in the logs while reproducing the issue:

Error acquiring assertion: <Error Domain=RBSServiceErrorDomain Code=1 "(originator doesn't have entitlement com.apple.runningboard.assertions.webkit AND originator doesn't have entitlement com.apple.multitasking.systemappassertions)" UserInfo={NSLocalizedFailureReason=(originator doesn't have entitlement com.apple.runningboard.assertions.webkit AND originator doesn't have entitlement com.apple.multitasking.systemappassertions)}>

0x113008b80 - ProcessAssertion: Failed to acquire RBS assertion 'WebKit Media Playback' for process with PID=25839, error: Error Domain=RBSServiceErrorDomain Code=1 "(originator doesn't have entitlement com.apple.runningboard.assertions.webkit AND originator doesn't have entitlement com.apple.multitasking.systemappassertions)" UserInfo={NSLocalizedFailureReason=(originator doesn't have entitlement com.apple.runningboard.assertions.webkit AND originator doesn't have entitlement com.apple.multitasking.systemappassertions)}

This might not be the actual issue however, I have a feeling it might be a server side issue, will have to run app locally to check.

I was testing this on an iPhone 7. Cannot reproduce the issue on a more modern iPad, the games are starting properly there. I hope it's not an issue that only affects older devices.

@edreispi thanks for the investigative work! Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the entitlement log lines you pasted are necessarily related; see https://github.com/ionic-team/capacitor/issues/5453.

Seems like a networking issue, no idea how to reproduce on my end.
