Study moves not getting saved from mobile app

On the web app, if I go in a study and make moves, they automatically get saved to the backend. But on the Android app, while the moves do get tracked while I'm on the chapter, all changes are lost when I leave the chapter (e.g. go to another chapter and come back).

Is this expected? Is there an explicit action needed to save the changes? I couldn't find one. Thanks!

I also see this issue in latest iOS mobile app.

This issue is still marked as Open. Only lichess-org/lila#9437 is closed and points back to herer as the active one.

I'd be happy to take a look into the fix for this one. If anyone has pointers towards the relevant components that'd need to change, that'd be appreciated.
