Add device type: Joystick (4axis/4buttons + kbd arrows) or Joystick (2axis/2buttons + kbd arrows) As in this version: dosbox_libretro.zip

No. There is a frontend based mapper now.

Hybrid mapper support will come in due time.

But you can already configure the mouse buttons and ESC and ENTER!

I know it's on purpose and it won't be coming back. The new frontend based mapper is far more flexible.
